Corsica is separated from Sardinia which lies just south of Corsica across the 'Strait of Bonifacio'. Although these two islands are less thank 10Nm apart Sardinia is an Italian Ireland.

Metereology
Corsica shares the same climate as the south of France and Italy. Warm sunny summers make Corsica fantastic to visit. Being less well known the coastline of Corsica is much quieter than the South Coast of France or Italy, making it a great desitination if you want to get away from it all.

Yacht Events Corsica
Corsica is home to the 'Tour de Corse a la Voile', a non stop yacht race circumnavigating Corsica. Starting in the 'Strait of Bonifacio' yachts make their way either clockwise or anti-clockwise around corsica back to the start/finish line.
The event is usually held in mid October and has in recent years had up to 50 yachts take part.
